How much does a Mercedes key replacement cost?
Most Mercedes smart keys run $280–$580 all-in with us — including the OEM blank, cutting, and programming. Dealers usually quote $650–$1,400 for the same job, plus the tow.
Do you work on all Mercedes-Benz years and models?
Yes — from W202 (1993) through the newest W223 S-Class and EQS electric. That includes Sprinter, Metris, AMG, Maybach, and G-Wagen. If it wears the three-pointed star, we work on it.
How long does a Mercedes key programming job take?
60–90 minutes for most smart-key jobs. EIS rebuilds run 2–3 hours. We do everything on-site — no tow, no shop visit.
What's an EIS / EZS, and why does it fail?
The Electronic Ignition Switch is Mercedes' immobilizer module. After 10–15 years, the internal solder joints crack and the module stops recognizing keys. We rebuild or replace it and recode your existing keys — typically $850–$1,400 vs the dealer's $3,000+.
Do I have to be home or can someone else meet you?
You must be the registered owner (or have written authorization) and present photo ID and registration matching the VIN. It's a federal requirement for any key cut — not optional, even for us.
Do you offer a warranty?
12 months on workmanship, plus the manufacturer warranty on the key blank itself. If the key stops working in normal use within a year, we come back and re-cut or re-program it free.
